Atmosphere: La Cava del Tequila is a festive, quaint lounge located within the Mexico Pavilion. It is hidden away in the darkness of the temple, if you weren’t looking for it you probably wouldn’t find it. As soon as you enter the small restaurant you are immediately amazed at the beautiful murals covering every single wall, and the detailed mosaics covering the tables (and other decorations!)

Food: As soon as we sat down our waitress came over with complimentary chips and salsa and took our order. We loved the salsa, it was unexpected and it really set the tone for a great experience. The salsa itself was full of flavor and a good amount of heat, two things we highly value, but might not appeal to the little ones. What we really came in for was their “famous” queso (and we wound up staying for the margaritas!) All there is to say about the queso is that the tortilla chips couldn’t deliver the cheesy goodness to our mouths fast enough! To be clear though, this is primarily a spot for drinking and a few light bites. We wouldn’t recommend coming here with little ones and definitely don’t plan on grabbing dinner here. That aside, we truly love this place and highly recommend it’s delicious-ness to anyone old enough (21+) to enjoy!

  • You will definitely want to grab a spot in here if the line is short enough, we went here one night right before they closed and they let us come right in, but typically the line can be several parties long.
  • Get the queso! You will not regret it.
  • Mobile order is not available at the time of this review.
